JOB SUMMARY:
The Contract Administrator is responsible for reviewing, managing, and administering contracts related to electrical construction projects. This role ensures that all contractual agreements comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards while supporting project managers and leadership with risk management, negotiation, and contract execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review electrical subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and client contracts for accuracy, scope, and compliance.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend revisions or protective language to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Ensure contracts are consistent with company standards, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate contract records and update logs for tracking obligations, amendments, and renewals.
- Verify adherence to OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other regulatory requirements applicable to electrical subcontracting.
- Ensure all subcontractors and vendors provide required documentation (insurance certificates, safety certifications, bonding, and licensing).
- Support project teams in resolving disputes, claims, or change order issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and executives to align contract terms with project budgets and schedules.
- Assist in preparing change orders, contract amendments, and closeout documents.
- Provide contract guidance to field supervisors and administrative staff as needed.
- Assist with prequalification applications
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in the electrical or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontractor agreements, and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, NEC requirements, and general construction law.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with construction management software a plus.

- Hourly Range: $20.00 – $30.00
