JOB SUMMARY:

The Field Safety Manager oversees all aspects of safety performance with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Jobsite Safety: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, local and company specific safety standards. Including enforcing safety protocols, such as PPE requirements and hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Training & Certificate: Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientations, weekly tailgates, and job-specific hazard awareness. In addition, train and certify employees on specialized topics – fall protection, confined space, electrical hazard awareness.
  • Incident Management: Lead investigations related to safety incidents, near-misses, and accidents, preparing detailed root cause analysis and correction action plans.
  • Pre-Construction & Risk Planning: Assist in pre-construction safety planning, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) and generate sign-specific safety plans and Method of Procedures (MOP’s).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations in the electrical industry.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
  • Collaboration & Culture: Act as the primary resource for safety education and materials for ALBD staff, subcontractors, and client.  In addition, to fostering a culture of safety by engaging employees at all levels.
  • Risk Mitigation & Emergency Response: Proactively identify and resolve safety issues through regular audits and inspections. In emergency situations, provide immediate response and resolve issues to prevent further injuries and work closely with field teams and supervisors to implement corrective measures.
  • Daily Travel: Conduct frequent visits to construction sites, offices, prefabrication shops, and other project locations to assess and ensure safety compliance.
  • Other: There is potential for additional duties and responsibilities in support of business needs.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Electrical experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • 3+ years in construction safety.
  • OSHA 30 Certified.
  • OSHA Master Certifications:  OSHA 500, 510, 511.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and diverse environments, including confined spaces and heights.

  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $125,000
